• Sol Cinema, the mobile theater is powered by renewable energy

  • Planning to go watch a movie? Well, you could simply skip the long ticket and popcorn queues and go watch that awesome flick that just released in a mobile theater! And the best part is, it’s powered by clean green renewable energy. Christened the Sol Cinema, this micro movie house was designed by Jo Furlong, commissioned by Undercurrents Arts Charity. The mobile theater was conceived out of two recycled caravan berths. Topped with solar panels and a lithium-ion battery pack resting in its belly, the theater can accommodate around 8 to 12 people for a movie. This one hooks on comedies, music videos and short films with eco-conscious themes on its projectors.

A movie-watching experience like never before. We’d sure like to see a few more renewable-energy-powered movie houses like these around!
