Energy saving and clean technology is now in demand, more than ever. Countries like Denmark followed by Brazil and Germany top the charts in sales of cleaner energy resources. Two years ago, the sales for clean energy were $921 billion. This amount has now shot up to $2339 billion per year, almost twice as much as before. According to the leader of the WWF global climate initiative Kim Carstensen, the support of the Kyoto protocol international framework, national support for clean energy and subsidies to the use of fossil fuels has resulted in the growth of clean energy sales. As countries take on the issue of saving the environment seriously, the demand for cleaner technology and the growth in use of cleaner forms of energy will increase. It is indeed encouraging and pleasant to see nations striving hard to save our environment.
