• Marine military unit powered completely by the sun

Solar panels aren’t common to urban areas anymore. Besides the rooftops of our homes and office spaces, solar panels also help Marines with solar juice these days. In Afghanistan, Marine 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment at Forward Operating Base Jackson has been making use of portable solar blankets to juice up radio batteries on patrols. That’s not all. They also have been using solar tarps for lighting in tents while command centers and computers have been hooked on to solar panels that soak in all the energy they require. This also happens to be the first military unit to use nothing but energy from the sun to power up.

Well, the greenest way to go really is to stop wars and let the world blossom in peace instead. But then again, a green defense force isn’t such a bad idea in today’s world after all!
