• Hydro Vantage Flush Valve generates Hydroelectricity from flushing

An automatic flushing system for a toilet, especially in public washrooms seem to be the most hygienic option around, though you probably haven’t realized that these systems work on electricity, and stamp out their share of carbon footprints. So Zurn came up with the HydroVantage Flush Valve, a flushing system that generates electricity from hydropower. The system comes equipped with a hydro generator system. This harvests energy from the water as it passes through the valve, spinning a turbine and creating electricity.

That’s not all. This energy is then stored in a rechargeable cell, and is used to power up the flush valve, without the need of a grid connection. Besides this, the valve also has a mind of its own to monitor ambient lighting in the room, according to user traffic, decreasing false flushing. Flushes go green with the Hydro Vantage Flush Valve.
