Rescue centers for dogs need some green inspiration, and here’s one to set an example, the new rescue center in Wymeswold. Built at a former pig-farm, the Dogs Trust center hopes to be the greenest of its kind in the world, and is making an effort towards achieving just that. With the help of green technologies like an eco-friendly biomass boiler, under-floor heating for its kennels, solar panels and a rainwater recycling system, the guys at the Dogs Trust center are sure making an effort to keep their act clean. Besides being environment-friendly, the center will also create 25 jobs for the people. Housing 135 dogs at a given time, the Trust hopes to shelter at least a thousand dogs a year.

We applaud the great job done by the Dogs Trust, building a home for man’s best friends in a green way.
