• The world’s first vertical ship, the SeaOrbiter to begin construction later this year

  • French architect Jacques Rougerie‘s design, the SeaOrbiter, a futuristic oceanographic marine vessel sculpted to study the world’s oceans, will soon sprout up with construction scheduled to begin later this year. A scientific laboratory incorporated in the world’s first vertical ship standing tall at 170 feet, the SeaOribiter has two-thirds submerged below water enabling researchers to better study life underwater and giving the craft better stability. A project being planned since the last 12 years, the SeaOrbiter will finally turn into a reality, making it a one-of-a-kind facility and an architectural and engineering marvel of modern times!
