• Team Sunswift sets the world record for the world’s fastest long-range electric vehicle!

  • sunswift-1Long-range electric cars aren’t particularly known for higher speeds. However, the Australian team Sunswift has managed to beat the world record for the world’s fastest long-range electric vehicle with its solar-powered contraption, travelling at speeds of up to 62 mph for a distance of 310 miles! To do so, the Sunswift team used its Sunswift eVe vehicle.

The car sports quite a few batteries to power its ride with additional solar panels to trickle in charge every time the sun shows up. The Sunswift eVe is said to travel the complete 310 on a full charge, touching up to 500 miles when the solar panels kick in. To set the record, the Sunswift team was required to turn off the solar panels and travel solely on battery charge.
