Tata Motors will join the league of electric car manufacturers next March, when it finally unveils two of its electric vehicles in Europe. To be launched in a selected few European countries; the vehicles include battery-powered variants of the Indica Vista hatchback and the Ace, a light-duty commercial mini-truck. To first hit the asphalt in the United Kingdom, the vehicles will also show up on streets in Scandinavian countries like Norway, Denmark and Sweden later. Thanks to UKs EV infrastructure and the incentives that will encourage sales, Tata Motors has chosen the country for its green launch. Tata Motors is also the manufacturer of the Nano, probably the world’s cheapest family car, costing around $2220.

The electric version of the Nano hasn’t been thought about yet though, and Tata Motors should probably take up the initiative of turning the car green too.
