Commissioned by the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) after previous pontiff, Pope Benedict, spoke about a green Pope-Mobil, this pedal-powered chariot for the Holy Father is bullet-proof and amour-plated. Currently under development, the contraption will be ready for delivery this summer.

With a company name that fits its expertise, Epic EV recently unveiled the TORQ Roadster, a super-powerful electric car that puts most of its gas-guzzling peers to shame. Sweden seems to have taken the cause of going green seriously. Recently, the Swedish company Scania and German company Siemens have joined hands to develop electric-powered commercial vehicles that power up with a roof-mounted apparatus connected to wires. These will be similar to the Muni buses that do the rounds in San Francisco Bay Area and will be used by commercial trucks on Sweden’s highways.
