‘I-charger’ developed by Japans Delivery Systems Corp.

I-charger.jpg Just when the idea of popular EV’s was settling in, there was a practical problem of charging the EV’s that came to the fore front. But you can always trust Japan to find a solution to every technical problem that exists. Mitsubishi has collaborated with Japan Delivery System Corporation (JDS) to develop a Electric Vehicle Chargins System, called the ‘i-charger’. The ‘i-charges’ uses the existing delivery box systems to manage who, when and how much electricity is being consumed after an authentic verification of the driver, for billing purposes. Most of the apartment systems would not have a garage, and even if they do, there woun’t be a plug point to charge the vehicle. This is where the system developed by JDS comes handy. When a tenant uses their "delivery box" verification card over the main charging unit, the outlet unit installed at the parking space is activated, allowing for charging of the user's electric vehicle.
