• Hertz car rental service to use Evatran wireless charging systems for EVs

  • plugless-power-1-sm.jpgCar rental company Hertz will soon begin using wireless charging systems for its fleet of electric cars. The rental service will make use of systems developed by Virginia-based Evatran to juice up its fleet of Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt cars. As per Hertz plans, the service provider seeks to have at least a thousand electric rides hit the roads by the end of 2012 and will install the Evatran plugless system at its headquarters in Park Ridge, NJ. Wireless charging is being pushed to the surface these days, and in the near future, these could be the best possible way to fill up your electric car’s belly.
