• Electricity-powered shuttle, the Navia

  • Autonomous vehicles that require no human intervention when it comes to maneuvering have long been on our minds. It’s been a while now since automobile big wigs have come forward with their plans for cars that need no drivers. French mobility solutions firm Induct has come up with a driverless electric shuttle that can be used in pedestrian-heavy areas called the Navia.

Built for parking lots, shopping malls, business parks and universities, the Navia uses laser range finders, cameras, GPS technology, accelerometers and gyroscopes, all of which work together to help the vehicle find its way! With enough capacity to shuttle eight passengers and using Lithium-Polymer batteries, the Navia travels at speeds of up to 12.5 mph and could soon find its way in our day-to-day lives.
