Formula E, the world’s first all-electric racing championship to begin in 2014

Does the Formula 1 season usually have you gripping the edge of your seat with sheer excitement? Well, if you love the environment and all that’s green just as much as us, you’ll probably have your jaw dropped with these tidings! 2014 will bring on a new tide of automobile racing, the all-electric Formula E! This will be a first for the automobile world in the history of mankind. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, also the brains behind Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, the World Touring Car Championship, and the World Endurance Championship, will be backing the Formula E.

Races are scheduled to be held at tracks in London, Berlin, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Beijing, Bangkok, and Purtrajaya. The season will kick off September of 2014 and run through June of 2015. The Formula E electric car race will have 10 teams competing and racing some seriously fast electric vehicles to the finish line!
