Well, the heat sure is burning our backs to dust this summer season. And there’s no better way to cool off than switch on an air conditioner. Air conditioning systems are known to be power hungry and very un-eco-friendly. Here’s one of those cooling machines with a greener twist. A solar air conditioning system, has found its place in Dubai. This could probably be the best use solar power has ever had to heated regions like Dubai. The system, installed by Swedish firm, ClimateWell, is installed at the ESAB offices and warehouses in Dubai, powered by solar energy and keeping the air cool.

Unlike the usual solar air conditioning systems that we sometimes come across, this one shuns the use of ammonia-based absorption systems, using the firms Triple-State absorption technology with salt and water. This adds an additional boost to the heat absorption capability of the ClimateWell air conditioning systems. The sun might have set out on its scorching spree, but then again, we’ve come up with ways to exploit it too!
