Computer peripherals go greener by the day. Just a little while back, we came across the Samsung LCD computer monitor that powers up with just USB connectivity. Here’s yet another TFT-LCD screen, this time by Philips. This 22 inch LCD is eco-friendly and loves the environment just as much as you do. The Philips 225B2 uses a PowerSensor that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals. This enables the LCD to automatically detect user presence and dim the screen’s brightness whenever a user steps away from his PC.

Sense and Simplicity put to play by Philips; this monitor tilts, swivels around and has an adjustable height too. It also boasts a USB hub with two ports to which you can connect plug and play devices like your camera, mobile phone, portable HDD and loads of other stuff. And unlike most of its peers, this LCD boasts inbuilt high-quality stereo speakers, just like that on an LCD television panel. With a 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, this one could be a great addition to your desktop.
