• Parking green with Canopy Airport Parking at the Denver International Airport

  • Canopy.jpgThe world’s greenest parking facility is here, the Canopy Airport Parking. Owned 80.2% by Greenscape Capital Group Inc. this project at the Denver International Airport is the greenest way to park, complete with 9.6 kW wind, 16.9 kW solar and geothermal energy generation, LED lighting systems and electric vehicle charging stations too. That’s not all. This parking space used recycled asphalt with asphalt made from recycled roofing shingles, steel recycled from scrap automobiles for construction and integrates porous pavements and alternatively fueled shuttle buses too! To proudly claim an LEED Gold Certification, this parking space will also be an example, the official demonstrator site for the US Green Parking Council.

With a 4,200 stall facility, the Canopy Airport Parking space is indeed a green example set for businesses around the globe, showing them the way to green parking.
