• Magenn Power Air Rotor System to convert wind to power

  • magennpower.jpg
There were the wind mills… now there will be more of the wind mills only in a more fashionable and modern looking way. The Magenn Power Air Rotor System (MARS) is a wind turbine that is excellent for places like farms or windy remote areas. The turbine floats in the air while tethered to the ground and removes any obstacles related to placement. It rotates around a horizontal axis wherever the wind is blowing and generates electrical energy, which then passes down the tether to a transformer and then transferred to the electricity power grid. Long, but useful, technique.

The Air Rotor as it is called is apparently sustained by helium which will help it transfer to a level of optimum wind with the help of its Magnus effect rotation power. The MARS will have a capacity of 10 to 25 kW in various wing ranges and will be available for farmers and others willing to shift to the country later this year or early next. When it does, it will cost between $5 to $10 per watt.
